May 17,2022 – Retina World Congress was founded on the promise to establish a global congress represented by participating retina societies from around the world.

With 43 society partners, a global faculty of 170+ presenters showcased cutting-edge advancements in the field of medical retina, vitreoretinal surgery, and retinal imaging. 700 participants from 48 countries overcame significant hurdles including the pandemic and an ongoing war in Europe to come together at Marriott Harbor Beach in Florida to network with their colleagues and share their knowledge.

An innovative educational program, including industry partners and investors in the Unplugged (non-CME) session, followed by invited faculty, abstract presenters, and multiple panel discussions by leading global experts in medical and surgical retina led to a lively exchange of expertise and opinions. In a moving address, our featured speaker Dr. Andrii Ruban, President of Ukrainian Retina Society, shared with the audience the challenges of managing ocular trauma during an ongoing war.

Dr. Steve Charles and Dr. Stephen Huddleston gave lectures at the 2022 Retina World Congress convention. Dr. Charles was also a panelist.
