Dr. Osman Cengiz is a dedicated and compassionate ophthalmologist who brings a global perspective and a wealth of experience to our practice. Born and raised in eastern Turkey, Dr. Cengiz began his medical journey at Ankara University Medical School, one of the country’s most prestigious institutions. He went on to complete his residency training in Istanbul, where he gained comprehensive experience in ophthalmology.
Following his residency, Dr. Cengiz spent 18 months in a vitreoretinal diseases department, further refining his surgical skills and deepening his clinical knowledge. He then served for several years as a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist in Turkey, where he performed thousands of sight-restoring procedures.
Driven by a passion for service, Dr. Cengiz has also volunteered in Sudan, providing life-changing cataract surgery to patients suffering from bilateral mature cataracts—many of whom had limited access to care.
In 2024, Dr. Cengiz completed a prestigious fellowship in Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery at Albany Medical College/Cornea Consultants of Albany under the mentorship of Dr. Robert Schultze. He is also a proud Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO), demonstrating his commitment to maintaining the highest standards in patient care across borders.
